"Harmony, balance, and rhythm. They’re the three things that stay with you your whole life."
― George Pocock
The rowing races will be 1000 meters over a new fully buoyed course. Paddling races will be mass start! Dragon boats will cover a triangle course.
We made this change for several reasons:
•In the past, Seattle and Portland each held their own Row for the Cure with a similar format and distance just two weeks apart in the fall. Few rowers and paddlers attended both races.
•The finest buoyed race course in the Pacific Northwest at Vancouver Lake is unused during the peak summer months, and the addition of another summer regatta should attract many participants.
•Station L Rowing Club has the opportunity to work with our friends at Vancouver Lake Crew to co-host this event.
Registration for rowers will be via RegattaCentral beginning May 15. Masters, Junior and some limited Open events will be offered.
Registration for all paddlers will open in early May on the Komen Oregon site

A full race packet will be posted soon at RegattaCentral.
